| In the early 1900s the Tinkers enjoyed a lovely circular rose garden in front of their home. Using historic photographs, archival records, archaeology, research on Victorian plants, as well as the assistance of local Boy Scouts and the Rockford Area Gardeners of America, the Museum replanted the garden in 1999. All of the flowers found in the garden are heritage varieties that were available in 1900. | |
