Scouting America Merit Badge Workshops

Tinker Swiss Cottage does not provide badges or submit documentation for badges.
The classes your scout attends will help them complete the majority of requirements to secure their badges, which will need to be given to the troop leader working with your scout on their badge.

Upcoming Open Scouting America Class
"Archaeology"
November 15th    11am-12:30pm

At our next Scouting America Workshop, Scouts will learn about the science of archaeology, explore local history through observing the indigenous conical burial mound on the museum campus, and engage in a chocolate chip cookie "excavation".

Pre-registration is required.

Scouts will complete 7 out of 11 requirements for this badge. Badges are not provided by the museum.

Scouts will need to complete the following requirements after they leave the workshop:

  • Requirement No. 8: Research a group of people who lived in your area more than 100 years ago.
  • Requirement No. 10: (choose one from a list of choices)
