Host your child's birthday party at Tinker Swiss Cottage and have one of the amazing characters from Characters 2 Life join in the fun! These party packages are for a maximum of 40 people.
Additional Add-on Options:

Paranormal Party Packages - 12 and over

Private Paranormal Tour (3.5hrs) $300+
  • Barn Rental for 1 hour $50 (required)
    • Use of Barn room for food and refreshments
    • Where event begins and ends
  • $250 for 10 person minimum (required)
  • $25 for each additional person.
  • Maximum headcount of 40 guests. 
  • Sample Party Itinerary: 
    • 6-7pm: Participants have time in the Barn for dinner (to be brought in by guests) and presents. Alcohol is NOT permitted. 
    • 7-7:30pm: Brief presentation about the family history. This presentation will include some evidence captured from previous investigations.
    • 7:30-9: The group will then tour the Cottage and hear tales of ghostly happenings in the historic mansion.
    • 9-9:15: The evening ends with a brief ghost box or dowsing rod session in the Library. ​
    • 9:15-9:30: Party clean up
Private Paranormal Investigation (4hrs) $450+
  • Barn Rental for 4 hours $50 (required)
    • Use of Barn room for food and refreshments
    • Where event begins and ends
  • $400 Investigation 
    • Investigation begins in the Barn and continues in the Cottage. 
    • 15 people maximum 
  • You are welcome to bring your own equipment or to use the museum's investigation tools. 
  • The entire event will last only for 4 hours. The Barn is available for guests to bring in dinner, snacks, or presents. Alcohol is NOT permitted. The first hour will be spent in the Barn and the remaining 3 hours in the Cottage.

  • Tuesday through Sunday: $400
  • $100 per additional hour (up to 2 hours)

  • Flash photography is not permitted.
  • Do not touch, sit, or lean on the objects.
  • You must remain with your group at all times.
  • No spirit/Ouija boards are allowed on site. 
  • No provocative language is allowed. The Tinker family is a very kind group of spirits, and speaking rudely to them will not be tolerated.  
  • We are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items.
  • The use of alcohol and/or drugs will not be tolerated under any circumstance. 
  • If you are unable to follow these guidelines, the Tinker Swiss Cottage staff reserve the right to cancel the event and will not issue a refund.​
  • Refunds will NOT be provided if attendees become too afraid to continue the event. ​

Murder Mystery Birthday Party - 18 and over

Private Murder Mystery Rentals (3hrs)
  • Barn Rental for 1 hour $50 (required)
    • Use of Barn room for food and refreshments 
    • Necessary for game 
    • Event provides 1 hour for meal (not provided by museum) and 2 hours for gameplay. 
  • $250 for 10 person minimum (required)
  • $25 for each additional person.
  • ​Maximum headcount of 25 people.
  • Choose between Speakeasy Murder Mystery or Victorian Light Party
  • All guests that attend are active participants in the Murder Mystery, no actors are brought in
  • Dressing the part is ENCOURAGED! 
  • No weapons are allowed on site. 
  • Alcohol ONLY permitted IF rental provides a licensed Catering Liquor License a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the event. An additional $100 fee will be added to your rental if alcohol is involved.
