Visit Tinker Swiss Cottage's Barn on February 21-22 from 10am-3pm for a rummage sale! Our volunteers and Board members have donated items to be sold as a fundraiser for the museum, as well as educational pieces that no longer serve our programming.
*No items from the Tinker/Dorr Family will be deaccessioned or sold. |

Join Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum at the Hoffman House on Saturday, April 11th at 9am for our annual Tinker Visions Breakfast Fundraiser!
Our mission is to preserve and share the Tinker family legacy and to inspire visitors to connect with history. As the founding site of Rockford, we strive to make our local history engaging, tangible, and relevant. Donations and proceeds received from this event go towards the continued preservation and operations of the Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum. RSVPs are mandatory by April 1st. Come enjoy a delicious breakfast and great fellowship all while supporting the museum! |

You're invited to Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum's Aloha Ohana Gala: Celebrating Local History & Heritage event on Thursday, August 21st!
Through a blending of the warmth of Hawaiian culture with the historical charm of our museum, this event will be an unforgettable evening of elegance, entertainment, and community spirit.
Proceeds from this event will directly benefit the restoration and programming of the museum, ensuring that future generations can enjoy and learn from this unique piece of Rockford's heritage.
RSVP by August 15th!
Tickets are $75 per person or $550 per table. Please select your dinner choice upon checkout.
The Gala will take place at the Embassy Suites Rockford Riverfront at 416 S. Main Street, Rockford, IL 61101. Doors open at 5:30pm and the event begins at 6pm.

Gala Headline Speaker: Michael Smola

Mike Smola is the Director of Education at the Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic Site and Archives (HMH) He is from Lemont, IL and attended Illinois State University for 3 years before transferring to Michigan State University. He achieved his B.A. in History with minors in anthropology and forestry in 2004. He did graduate level work in Museums Studies at MSU, receiving his Graduate Certification in Museum Studies in 2008. He has previously worked at the MSU Museum in Historical Collections and Exhibtions and the Turner Dodge House in Lansing, Michigan as part of their education staff. He currently resides in Ka'a'awa, Oahu, HI with his partner, Sally.
