Tinker Sock Dolls at the Sock Monkey Madness Festival
Tinker Cottage is exhibiting two new Tinker Sock Dolls, Mary and Jessie, at the Sock Monkey Madness Festival at Midway Village Museum.

Gov. Quinn Visits the Museum!
Do you recognize the background? Yes, it is our museum, Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum & Gardens! To be more specific, it is the library in Mr. Tinker's Victorian Mansion. Gov. Quinn visited the museum on January 17th to speak about building an Amtrak train station across the creek from the museum. There has not been rail service from Rockford to Chicago since the 1970's. It will be exciting to have the trains running again, and the first thing the passengers will see across from the train station is Mr. Tinker's Swiss Cottage! According to the plans, the station should be completed by 2014. We would like to thank everyone that came out to the press conference and thank you for your continued support of the museum.
